Dear hiring team,
I understand that the central requirement for this Database Administrator role is protecting database availability, integrity, performance, access, backup, recovery, and controlled schema change. I am motivated by database work that protects trustworthy state through explicit controls and practiced recovery.
I completed this work in a simulated transition project for Database Administrator. I examined query plans and lock waits before changing an index, measured write overhead after the change, and restored a backup into an isolated database to verify recoverability.
Within that same simulation, I limit my claim to the work I performed. I owned a database recovery drill using isolated backup restores, resolved missing transaction logs and completed SQL consistency checks before reopening the test service.
