Connect MCP and verify the available tools
Use the instructions shown for your supported client and confirm the connection before relying on a save or import.
Use sequence
- Prepare
Sign in, open Work History, and choose Connect MCP from the available creation methods. Client setup and authorization screens can differ.
- Work
In the Connect MCP modal, choose the client you use, follow its current instructions, and complete the authorization it presents.
- Review
Inspect the tools the client actually exposes and run a non-destructive read or test before saving career evidence.
Check and recover
- Success check
The client shows refresh.cv tools and the test returns the expected account or connection context.
- If it does not work
If tools are absent or authorization fails, reopen Connect MCP in Work History, compare the selected client instructions with its configuration, reconnect once, and keep the displayed error.
