How to import a resume
Import a PDF, DOC, DOCX, text, or supported connected source, then review every extracted section.
Import without losing evidence
Start with a readable source, then compare the imported draft with the original before editing.
Use sequence
- Prepare
Prepare the PDF, DOC, DOCX, or text you are allowed to use. Open it once and confirm that headings and body text are selectable or readable.
- Work
Open Resume Checker, select “Check my resume,” then choose one file in the import dialog. Wait for the review before starting another import.
- Review
Compare contact details, dates, employers, section order, and every bullet with the original; correct extraction errors before rewriting.
Check and recover
- Success check
Every source section is present and factual details match the original.
- If it does not work
If text is missing or garbled, stop editing, re-export or choose a clearer supported file, then run the check and comparison again.
